Description
A red light panel small enough to keep on a nightstand and simple enough to use before you've had coffee.
The Thera Tri-Lite is a portable red and near-infrared LED panel. It plugs into a standard outlet or a USB power source, runs on a timer you set yourself, and packs down to the size of a thin book when the session is over.
The light itself
Red and near-infrared LEDs sit side by side across the panel, so you get a warm red glow that fills the room a little when it's running. There is no flicker in the output, which is the kind of detail you only notice the first time you use a panel that does flicker.
Measured irradiance at 6 inches from the device is 130 mW/cm2 for the red wavelengths, with near-infrared listed separately by the manufacturer. The panel produces no UV output.
A few minutes, most days
This is a short-session device. Plug it in, choose your duration on the control, and sit with the light facing the area you're using it on. Most people find a comfortable rhythm within the first few sessions rather than needing to think it through each time.
Built to travel
At 10.6 ounces including the cord and controller, and 9 by 13.5 inches flat, the Tri-Lite goes into a carry-on without a second thought. It accepts 110V to 220V power, so it works the same way at home or abroad, and the USB compatibility means a battery pack or laptop can run it in a pinch.
Shielding
The panel is built with low-EMF shielding technology intended to reduce electromagnetic exposure during use.

Using the panel
Using the Panel
Plug the panel into a USB port or a compatible outlet. Set your session length on the control button, then position the panel facing the area you intend to use it on, at a comfortable distance. Keep the panel and cord away from water and wet surfaces, and do not use the device in or near a shower or bath. If using the panel near your face, keep your eyes closed or wear eye protection, since it emits high-intensity light at close range.
