Frequently Asked Questions
How much do these basketball systems weigh, and how are they delivered?
These are competition systems, not driveway hoops. The Storm models run 1,128 to 1,230 lbs, the Tempest around 1,629 lbs, and the Hurricane up to 1,853 lbs shipped. They travel by freight and are delivered to the end of your driveway or curb only. Plan to have equipment and helping hands ready — carriers allow roughly 30 minutes to unload before detention charges apply, and inside delivery is available for an additional fee.
How much space does a portable system require behind the backboard?
Extension is the number that matters most. The Hurricane projects the backboard 96 inches from the base, the Tempest 66 inches, and the Storm is adjustable from 54 to 66 inches. Add the footprint of the weighted base behind that. Measure your available depth from the baseline before choosing a model — a Hurricane needs considerably more room behind the board than a Storm.
What is the difference between tempered glass and acrylic backboards?
Tempered glass gives you truer, more consistent rebound and is what competition play calls for — you will find it on the Hurricane, Tempest, Storm Pro, and Storm Arena. Acrylic is lighter and more forgiving of impact, offered on the Storm Select and Storm Supreme, and it suits training and multipurpose settings well. If you are running competitive games, choose glass.
Do I need the ST or FL tie-down version?
That depends on your floor. Choose Triumph-FL for floating hardwood floors and Triumph-ST for concrete, asphalt, or other fixed surfaces. NCAA and National High School Federation rules require rear hold-downs for competitive play, so if you are hosting sanctioned games you need one or the other. The base models ship without tie-downs for installations that do not require them. Note that anchors are not included with the Hurricane.
Can these be adjusted for younger players?
Yes. Every system adjusts from a regulation 10 feet down to 6 feet in six-inch increments using a spring-assisted pin system. Pull the pin, raise or lower the goal, reset the pin — one goal covers youth through varsity.
What kind of warranty comes with them?
First Team systems are made in the USA and carry First Team's Lifetime Superior Warranty. As an authorized retailer, we pass full manufacturer warranty coverage through to you.
What computer do I need to run a GSA system?
You need a desktop gaming PC with an Intel i5 or better, 8 GB RAM, an NVIDIA 1070-class GPU or better, 25 GB of free storage, Windows 10 or 11, and two USB 3 ports. GSA specifies Intel desktops only — no AMD processors, no laptops, and no custom-built PCs. The systems are not wireless and connect to the PC by USB 3 cable. Confirm your machine qualifies before ordering.
Which golf tracker is right for me?
The SCX Lite at $1,669 is the entry point: two ceiling-mounted high-speed cameras on a slim light bar with infrared illumination, and it is fully modular, so you can add cameras later to build toward an SCX Pro, EVi, or LX2 configuration. The SCX IR Pro at $3,270 adds laser-precision factory calibration. The EVi, also $3,270, pairs an overhead camera with a floor-mounted side Vcam for dual 32-frame playback, true vertical launch angle, full 360-degree spin measurement off the ball logo, angle of attack, and contact location on the face. Start with the Lite if budget matters and grow into it; choose the EVi if you want the most complete picture of impact.
What software works with the trackers, and are there subscription fees?
All models work with GSPro, E6 Connect, The Golf Club (TGC), ProX, Creative Golf 3D, and GSA's own software suite. There are no subscription fees — it is a one-time purchase, and the GSA software includes one free 18-hole course.
Can I use a GSA tracker in my golf business or teaching studio?
Unfortunately not. GSA does not sell these systems for use in commercial indoor golf facilities or by professional instructors, because those environments need a level of support GSA cannot provide. These are for personal and home use.
Which PEMF device best suits my situation?
The Magofon-01 at $538 is the simplest, combining PEMF with vibroacoustic oscillation across a 20-20,000 Hz range. The Almag-01 at $719 includes a pulse generator with four positionable emitters and works in home or professional settings. The Almag+ at $789 offers an adaptable four-coil arrangement suited to knee and hip positioning. The DIAMAG (Almag 3) at $1,799 uses a positionable four-coil system for the same areas in a compact portable form. The Almag-2 at $4,500 is the most capable, with 79 built-in programs and suitability for use with animals such as dogs and horses as well as people.
Do I need training or certification to use a PEMF device?
No. These are designed for straightforward, everyday home use and require no professional certification to operate. They are drug-free and non-invasive, with no procedures involved.
