The First Team Hurricane Triumph Portable Basketball System is a competition-style portable goal built for fieldhouses, gymnasiums, and facilities where high-level, aggressive basketball is played. Its heavy-gauge steel extension boom has upper and lower boom supports and provides a 96" base-to-backboard extension at regulation 10' height, designed to meet NCAA and NFHS requirements. Two tubular braces support the upper corners of the backboard for added rigidity.
The system comes with the same caliber of components used in high school and college gyms. These include the FT235 42" x 72" tempered glass backboard and the FT196 Full-Tilt breakaway goal. The rim mounts directly to the boom, so player contact on the rim doesn't transfer to the backboard.
Rim height adjusts from 10' down to 6' in 6" increments, which makes the goal suitable for younger players and skills training. Seven coil springs support the boom assembly with no hydraulics, so one person can pull the pin, adjust the height, and replace it. The unit rolls on four 8" non-marking wheels and rests on retractable non-marking foot pads during play. Maintenance-free bushings are used at every pivot point.
The Hurricane Triumph package is ideal for facilities that do not need floor anchors, such as school practice gyms and recreation centers. The bolt-on FT72C TuffGuard backboard pad, boom extension pad, and base padding come in many colors, and none of the padding needs to be removed for folding, transport, or storage.
